To ensure that disadvantaged people, elderly people living alone, and seniors (over 65) in the community are taken care of,. t The “Damiao Community Care Point” was established in 2009 to provide free lunch and meal home delivery service from Monday to Friday. Although donations and supplies keep coming from all parts of society, to ensure the continuing operation of the service regardless of fund shortages, it is necessary to find a way for sustainable operations.
- Self-motivation of Community Volunteers
After repeated discussions, volunteers decided to combine community industry with local characteristics to ensure stable financial sources. Therefore, the “egg” became the first choice. After countless experiments and development, the “Darenmiao Stewed Egg” was finally born. From cooking, peeling, stewing, to packing, everything is done by volunteers working in close cooperation. Their common belief: donate all income to the “Damiao Community Care Point” charity fund, provide more service for those in need in the community, and turn Darenmiao into a warm and happy community.
