The Shih's Mutton has been operating in the Gueiren Public Market for over four decades. As an old snack brand, the mutton dishes are simple and straightforward, meat is tender and each serving is large enough. The Chinese angelica mutton soup is a house special. The special soup base is made with a secret formula of medicinal herbs. It is sweet in taste and is never greasy or bitter and is loved by the public. The mutton noodle soup, mutton rice noodle soup, and fried rice made in the traditional cooking style are equally popular. Honored as the “Market Food Star”, the store passed the Nanying Gourmet Food Certification in 2008 and was selected as the Taiwan Market Chef by the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
